Deanne King is an award-winning journalist who serves as the Creative Director for the Bay Fashion Week, and News Anchor and For the Culture reporter on WFLA News Channel 8. Her For the Culture segment highlights the great work minorities are doing across Tampa Bay, while also tackling issues of racial discrimination and racial injustice.
She has won Associated Press awards for a story about the disproportionate news coverage of missing people of color and a story on Hall of Famer Tony Dungy’s impact on minority youth in Tampa.
Deanne serves on the Board of Directors for the Crisis Center of Tampa Bay, volunteers with over a dozen organizations including the Juneteenth Coalition, the NAACP.
She also serves as a host, emcee, panelist and keynote speaker for small-and large-scale events. She is a proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc.
