Meet The Founder

TANEKA BOWLES

CEO & Founder

From the moment one meets her, it is clear that Taneka Bowles, Tampa Bay Fashion Experience’s CEO, is a woman of extraordinary faith and action. Taneka has made a big impact in the Tampa Bay community since relocating with her husband, Todd Bowles, head coach of the NFL’s Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and their three sons. Their oldest son, Todd Jr, recently joined The Buccaneers’ coaching staff as a Defensive Assistant and can often be found behind the lens in the press pit or on the red carpet at New York Fashion Week and Miami Swim Week. Troy, their middle son, is a Linebacker at the University of Michigan, majoring in communications, with aspirations for an NFL career. The youngest of the bunch is Tyson who’s a rising 9th grader active in theater, student government, and track and field.

A leader in multiple industries, a humanitarian, and a philanthropist, Taneka has spent much of her time in Tampa breaking barriers and creating opportunities for others. Taneka is a proud mother of a child with autism (Tyson) and serves on several boards to help create more opportunities for individuals on the spectrum to reach their full potential. In addition, she spearheaded the renovation of Raymond James Stadium’s Sensory Room alongside the Tampa Sports Authority. Having been a guest speaker at countless charity events to raise awareness for Autism, Taneka has raised over $100,000 for organizations such as Autism Speaks, Autism Acceptance Center, and LiFT Academy. She was named Autism Speaks New Jersey Woman of the Year in 2019.

Taneka is a source of hope and positivity in a world that can often be bleak. However, through her faith in God and desire to serve, she has been able to bring change to her community and make a positive difference in the lives of many. She has used her platform to create her own 501(c)3, The Tampa Bay Fashion Foundation, to serve the socio-economically disadvantaged. In three years, TBFF has raised over half a million dollars to support those subject to generational cycles by providing work opportunities, training and motivational support. She often lends her voice to inspiring women in pursuit of entrepreneurship and leadership roles in the workforce. Taneka has been a two-time Mentor at the She is Football Summit where she is always a “fan favorite”.
